Vanda's Kitchen delivers catering across the City of London and central, inner and outer London — from the EC postcodes around St Paul's out to W, WC, SW, SE, N, E and NW. Delivery is zoned by distance from our Carter Lane kitchen, from free inside the Square Mile to £35 at the furthest reach, with a £150 minimum order. Every order comes from one independently halal-certified, 100% nut-free kitchen.
Our London delivery zones
Zone 0 — Walking distance (EC4V, EC4Y, EC4M, EC4N, EC4A): free delivery, always, with no minimum spend to unlock it. Hand-carried from Carter Lane — your order doesn't come in a van, someone walks it round.
Zone 1 — City core, Holborn & Bankside (EC1, EC2, EC3, EC4, WC1, WC2): £12.50, and free over £250. The Square Mile — Bank, Moorgate, Liverpool Street, St Paul's, the Barbican, Aldgate — plus Holborn, Lincoln's Inn, Gray's Inn, the Temple, Kingsway, Bloomsbury and Covent Garden.
Zone 1 also covers three areas whose postcodes sit outside the City but which are genuinely closer to our kitchen than parts of it: Bankside, Southwark Street, Blackfriars Road, Borough and London Bridge (SE1 9, SE1 0, SE1 8, SE1 1, SE1 2), and Petticoat Lane and Spitalfields (E1 7, E1 6). Bankside is a shorter run than Aldgate. We price the distance, not the letters.
Zone 2 — Central (W1, SW1, SE1, SE11, N1): £17.50, free over £600. The West End, Westminster, Waterloo, Kennington, Angel — plus Whitechapel (E1 8).
Zone 3 (E1, E2, E3, NW1, SE16, SE17): £22.50. Shoreditch, Bethnal Green, Bow, the Camden fringe, Rotherhithe, Walworth.
Zone 4 — Outer (E14, W2, W9, NW3, NW5, NW8, N4, N5, N7, N16, E8, E9, SE5, SE8, SE10, SE15, SW3, SW5, SW6, SW7, SW8, SW9, SW10, SW11, W6, W8, W10, W11): £27.50. Canary Wharf, Paddington, Maida Vale, St John's Wood, Hampstead, Islington, Hackney, Greenwich, Chelsea, Fulham, Hammersmith.
Zone 5 — Far reach (W12, W14, NW6): £35. Shepherd's Bush, West Kensington, Kilburn.
Free delivery applies over £600 in Zones 2–5, over £250 in the City core, and always in the walking-distance zone.
Same-day and next-day catering
Order by 2pm for next-day delivery, Monday to Friday. After 2pm the next available day moves on by one. Same-day is often possible for City-core postcodes. Weekend delivery is available by arrangement for events.
Quiches and hot meal packs need two working days, not one — everything is made fresh, and these take an extra day of kitchen prep. If your basket contains one, the whole order follows the two-day lead. The calendar at checkout only ever offers you dates we can actually hit.
Minimum orders
£150 for City and central postcodes (Zones 0–2); £200 for outer zones (Zones 3–5).
Beyond these postcodes
For larger events we deliver more widely across Greater London by arrangement — plan a catering order or get in touch with the postcode and date.
How the zones work
Delivery pricing is distance-based and transparent — you see the exact fee for your postcode at checkout before you pay, never an estimate. The closer to our Carter Lane kitchen (EC4V 5EA), the lower the fee, because the runs are shorter and more predictable. That is also why the City core has its own lower free-delivery threshold: those deliveries genuinely cost us less.
Because London postcodes are drawn for the post office and not for delivery runs, some of them are far too large to price as one thing. E1 stretches from the edge of the City out to Stepney; SE1 runs from Bankside to the Old Kent Road. So where a postcode covers a wide spread, we price its sectors separately — the first character after the space — and we measure the distance rather than assume it. That is why Petticoat Lane pays City rates and Stepney does not, and why Bankside pays less than somewhere with a smarter-looking postcode.
A handful of zones are priced on how long the run actually takes rather than the miles on a map. Shepherd's Bush is no further from us than Greenwich, but the drive is a different proposition. We would rather say that plainly than pretend a straight line is the whole story.
Inclusive catering across every zone
Wherever we deliver, it is the same kitchen and the same guarantees: independently halal-certified, 100% nut-free, over 60% of the menu gluten-free, and full Natasha's Law allergen labelling on every item. One order can cover halal, nut-allergic, coeliac and vegan colleagues at once — which is why so many London offices with diverse teams standardise on a single Vanda's order rather than juggling suppliers.
Standing orders and volume pricing
Regular deliveries — weekly team lunches, daily breakfast, recurring meeting catering — qualify for volume pricing: 10% off at 50+ meals a week, 15% off at 100+. Ask us about a standing order for your office.
